The first all women short service course Observer Course. From left, Sub Lt Sandhya Chauhan, Sub Lt Swetha, Sub Lt Santhosh Kumari, Sub Lt Priya Jeyakumar.

The women are trained in Tactics employed in Air Warfare, Anti Submarine Warfare and the exploitation of electronic intelligence systems in addition to the basic training in Air Navigation and flying procedures. They are inducted into Maritime Reconnaissance and Anti-submarine warfare aircraft of the Navy.
